Dr. Michelle Thomas
Dr. Michelle A. Thomas is a highly dedicated and well-regarded physician with nearly 30 years of medical experience. She graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in 1995, completed her residency in Family Practice at UCSF Fresno, and continues to serve the Central Valley with compassion and excellence.
As the founder of Michelle Thomas, MD, Inc., she has practiced independently since 2003, providing care across settings including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living centers, hospitals, and through modern telehealth services. Her career reflects a deep commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare for all patients.
Dr. Thomas has served in leadership roles such as Medical Director at St. Agnes Infusion Center and at several urgent care clinics and correctional health facilities. She has extensive experience in family medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care, wound care, hospitalist medicine, and surgery, making her one of the most versatile physicians in the region.
Recognized for her teaching, she has been a highly requested preceptor for Nurse Practitioner residency programs in collaboration with Fresno Pacific University and Madera Community Hospital. Her dedication to mentoring future healthcare professionals underscores her belief in raising standards of care for the next generation.
Dr. Thomas is also board certified in Family Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine, with additional certifications in Hyperbaric and Advanced Wound Care, ACLS, and PALS. She is affiliated with professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the California Medical Association.
Beyond her extensive medical achievements, Dr. Thomas is a mother of four, balancing her family life with her career. She is known by patients and colleagues alike for her empathy, integrity, and ability to connect with people on a personal level. Her mission is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that respects the dignity of every individual.
